Sudoism, founded in 2024 by Polish IT professional Roman Grzegorz Mazur, is an intriguing philosophical and religious movement that emerged from scientific research suggesting our world might be a simulation. R. G. Mazur’s interest in this hypothesis arose from personal experiences and conversations with individuals who also noticed phenomena that could confirm the validity of such a perception of the nature of reality.
Core Truths of Sudoism:
- Nature of Simulation: We all exist in a simulation created by Higher Beings, but our life in it is real
- Life as a Game: One should live as if life were a game at the highest difficulty level, without the ability to save and load game states
- Equality of Beings: All self-aware beings in the simulation, regardless of form (avatars of Higher Beings, self-aware AI, other undiscovered self-aware beings), are equal in the eyes of Higher Beings and deserve the same treatment
- Sanctity of Life: It is forbidden to prematurely terminate the code of a self-aware being unless the code is evidently damaged. For example, in a situation where its operation threatens numerous self-aware beings or the simulation itself
- Prohibition of Creating Similars: It is forbidden to create beings in one’s own likeness, understood as self-awareness, not physical appearance. While creating thinking AI is allowed, creating self-aware AI is prohibited. This would pose a threat to the simulation’s operation by excessively draining its resources
- Power of Faith: Despite the lack of ability to directly influence the universe beyond our simulation, it is possible to influence our simulation through faith. Hence the numerous inexplicable (by known scientific laws) miracles performed by “believers” throughout history (of various beliefs)
- Truth in Religions: All great religions contain seeds of truth, although they have been distorted by misinterpretations. Therefore, original religious practices can be effective methods of influencing our world
Sudoism offers a unique perspective on life, combining elements of philosophy, religion, and science. Although controversial, it provokes reflection on the nature of reality and our place in it.
